hmmhesays
stormqloud_, that should be simple
stormqloud_
which part?
hmmhesays
cid mod per destination
integrating it into kazoo might be a little more tough haha
stormqloud_
it's somethign I have clients using on asterisk etc
dial *81xxxx and you get a different caller id
then *82xxxx
etc
voxter
any of you guys any good with building couchdb views?
stormqloud_
I've modified a few, but you must have done mroe then me!

hey guys, if I use rest api to sync cdrs to mysql every 10 mins, would it seriously affect the performance of bigcouch?
voxter
depends how many cdrs you have to process i suppose
link89
it is around 200, 000+ of cdrs generated everyday.
we notice that bigcouch may suffer serious performance degration typically once a week
and we still cant figure out the root cause of bigcouch performance degration, is it possible the cdrs read/write operation cause this problem?
voxter
i mean, sure, its possible
without clearer details than that i'm wildly speculating
unless you have some correlation to performance degrading at the same time a massive operation occurs, though...
link89
does bigcouch perform something like consistency check every week?
our bigcouch server s cpu utilization just increase sharply ervery week this time.
it seems that something happens every Wedsenday, at 00:00 UTC-8
brian-mac
link89: tail the bigcouch logs during that time.. Are you sure there is no other scheduled task running on the hosts at this time?
link89
it turns out that when we try to add users throught rest api, there is a high chance that bigcouch would crash
btracht
i am creating a new db cluster using clone tool. do i need to delete all default DBs from new cluster or will clone tool overwrite
?
jeremyr
Hey all, evaluating Kazoo and I just finished setup with the Simple Installer from the community scripts (https://github.com/2600hz/community-scripts). I'm trying to add a SIP trunk but I can't seem to find the right documentation on how to do that with the All In One setup. Does this happen inside of the Monster UI or is there a different place to add DIDs and Trunks?
btracht
how long (estimate) would the DB clone tool take to copy about 400 DBs?
hmmhesays
I would imagine that depends on the size of the database
btracht
not very big
hmmhesays
I'm scared to handle CDR's in couch

Hi guys, had a question, http://blog.2600hz.com/post/18096749028/understanding-how-fs-supports-opensips-as-a are the users registering on FS or OpenSIPS in this particular case
brkfst
youjelly that link is for older versions of kazoo but in that case, registrations were handled by freeswitch, which would look up credentials via kazoo
but now registrations don't even touch freeswitch
youjelly
can you tell me why you made that decision?
brkfst
I didn't make it but it makes a lot of sense to offload registration traffic from the media servers
youjelly
you're using opensips as registrar?
brkfst
so the link you posted was when kazoo used opensips
now it uses kamailio
and kamailio handles registratoins by looking up creds directly to kazoo
youjelly
ok thanks. If you have any information on why you moved the registration handling part to Kamalio, will you let me know, I'm trying to convince my boss its better to handle registrations on OpenSIPS rather FS for the last 2 days
Alos, why Kamalio over OpenSIPS?
brkfst
here's why they switched http://blog.2600hz.com/post/34639934434/our-other-border-brother-kamailio
they are both great proxies though, nothing wrong with opensips
youjelly
Yeah, I'm just curious if there's any benchmarks for doing registrations+media on FS vs media on FS and registrations on Kamalio/OpenSIPS
brkfst
I think a good reason to move registrations to opensips/kamailio is because that is all SIP traffic and those products handle SIP very efficiently and leave FreeSWITCH to handle media
I dont' have any, but at some point you are going to slow down when you reach a certain amount of registration traffic
but it would be a LOT of registrations
youjelly
or if you're doing registrations every 30 seconds on your clients :|
hmmhesays
is it storing registrations in couch?
registrations should really be stored in redis or some other in memory system
mc_
registrations are stored in ecallmgr, in memory (ETS table)
hmmhesays
That would make more sense

how do you figure out a Fax box @xxx.xxx.s.zswitch.net?
I have one built. and am trying to figure out the fax box smtp address
of the fax box
https://2600hz.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1936302?b_id=8707
So FaxBox can't be done for a company anymore? It is tied to a specific user, with a specific phone number... Did I get that right?
