neurosys (or anyone), what's the best way to clear stuck BLF on a polycom? Haven't really dealt with this before (usually use adtrans yadda yadda etc etc)
power cycling it didn't work
THey'll be fine with a few stuck keys until monday. I'm gonna shut down my laptop, but my office computer is still logged in if anyone feels like responding to me. Thanks for all the help neurosys (and others)

lazedo: hey bud, are you aware of a change in gen_stmp for 3.21? Im getting this weird DB error ive never seen before when attempting to send a notification from kazoo: kz_smtp_domains.db
kazoo1 postfix/qmgr[7307]: fatal: open database /etc/postfix/kz_smtp_domains.db: No such file or directory
Never heard of this db nor is it in my production environment where notifications work.
voxter
neurosys: do you have the non .db version of it?
neurosys: if so, just run 'postmap /etc/postfix/kz_smtp_domains'
it will build the .db file
neurosys
voxter: postmap: fatal: open /etc/postfix/kz_smtp_domains: No such file or directory
voxter
neurosys: so presumably /etc/postfix/kz_smtp_domains isnt there
neurosys
voxter: its not there heh
voxter: its not on my 3.20 prod servers either but it doesnt compalin about this .db
voxter
so i mean it totally depends on your postfix config
neurosys: so i can tell you what should be in it
neurosys
That can work hehe
voxter
again, totally depends on your postfix config - id suspect its different on your other server thats misisng it
what is your fax smtp domain base? i.e. fax.yourcompany.com
neurosys
probably. those servers have been up since the sprint days :P
voxter
same kinda idea as sip realms
for us, we have customername.fax.voxter.com
so inside of kz_smtp_domains we put:
fax.voxter.com OK
*.fax.voxter.com OK
bazyar
_Voxter_
voxter
then run that postmap command again
hey bazyar! Did my guys ever get back to you regarding the mobile app? I passed it off but im just back from vacation and i forgot to check in
bazyar
no they didn't :)
voxter
mother f...
are you coming to kazoocon?
bazyar
unfortunately no
voxter
ok, im going to email you back and cc the guy in charge
sorry about that
bazyar
alright thanks :)
voxter
emailed
lazedo
neurosys: hey, its not gen_smtp, its postfix related. it gets the permissions for postfix
neurosys
lazedo: Oh? so as Voxter pointed out it, the domains need to be in that file.db?
for postfix?
lazedo
neurosys: well, not sure how your setup is, but it should grab them from kazoo
neurosys: so it stays in sync
neurosys
lazedo: Hm. It was a new dev setup for 3.21
lazedo: That file isnt in my prod 3.20 either..
lazedo
neurosys: whats a dev setup ?
neurosys
Development custer...
sorry
lazedo
how was it setup ? this is postfix related not necessarely kazoo, it grabs the permissions from external, in this case kazoo db
neurosys
lazedo: I set it up from the repo...
I dont ever recall having to adjust postfix
lazedo
you mean kazoo-configs ?
neurosys
lazedo: Looks like im missing something for sure. logs show notify getting errors...
lazedo
not sure how youre getting postfix config
neurosys
lazedo: I must be missing something
lazedo
i dont see anything related to postfix in our repo
neurosys
lazedo: Thats what i mean. Ive never setup whistle/kazoo and had t mod postfix (unless fax related(
lazedo
neurosys: it was developped because of fax but it serves any purpose
and im almost sure we dont include anything related to that
there may be some doc mentioning that in the repo
neurosys
lazedo: Yep im combing thru now :)
lazedo
and theres some steps in TODO part of it
neurosys: but haproxy seems to work well, without the need for extra complexity
neurosys: ie, put haproxy to listen on 25 ad forward to 19025
neurosys
lazedo: Isnt there supposed to be an smtp_client doc in the system_config?
lazedo
cant remember, but if its used it will be created
neurosys: ^
