dsockwell
fu*k

I've gotten like 9 cups of tea out of this little bit of leaves
it just keeps going and going
henriqueleng
Will I need to use libcurl only to fetch a file under http
sh*t
FRIGN
gn8 guys
k0ga: nice work on the compiler!
:D
stateless: just don't take the acid inhibitors the docs give you. in the long run, they are _very_ harmful
stateless
FRIGN, never taken them
FRIGN
k0ga: not only nice, fu*king awesome dude!
Evil_Bob
henriqueleng: depends, in some cases you can just use netcat i guess :)
FRIGN
stateless: very good! Try to find other ways, there are plenty
:)
stateless
just 1 cup of coffee instead of 6 :P
no probs :P
FRIGN
if you don't find one, ask me tomorrow
Evil_Bob
would be epic if scc could compile x86 or even x86-64 :)
i wouldnt mind if it has zero optimization but just focus on correctness and simplicity

Guys, I got a D in religion at school, the lowest is E
received some homeworks to do in the winter vacation
fcanela: Hi

k0ga
23:07 < Evil_Bob> atm i also get a segfault, for example in cc1/: ./cc1 -o bla.o < types.c
without types.cis hard to know what is happening
s/types.cis/types.c is/
Evil_Bob: maybe you were rigth about the -1 issue, because there are exit(1) and exit(-1), without any difference between them
so I think is better to put the same value in all the places
__20h__
FRIGN, you have no clue about acid inhibitors.
FRIGN, read about the studies.
Actually, they are PPI. You have different types of real acid inhibitors.
FRIGN, which kind of harm are you talking about in the long run? I only know of one which is minor.
k0ga
__20h__: If I have some health problem, can I consult you? xD
__20h__
k0ga, I first need to have seen you in real life.
Tele medicine is forbidden in Germany.
dsockwell
naked.
__20h__: do you mean examined or just seen, even from across the street?
__20h__
dsockwell, at least have spoken to him.
dsockwell
i see
k0ga
uhmmm, I think you already told is
s/is/it/
stateless: I have sent a patch to hackers with a proposal of how to fix the problems with the compiler dialect
(basically is to use .POSIX target in Makefiles)
__20h__
k0ga, we have modern shells which don't need x$VAR
k0ga
yes, but they are not standards
Evil_Bob
k0ga: its types.c from scc/cc1/types.c
but no worries i'll look into it later
k0ga
Evil_Bob: ok
it is good to see why it segtfaults, but I don't care too much, because this file includes files, which in default linux machines will include gcc preprocessor extensions, and they are not going to be understood by the embedded preprocessor
Evil_Bob
well in my opinion even if the input is random binary data it should not segfault and just exit(1) or so
k0ga
Evil_Bob: of course
I was saying, that at this moment there are millions of things that I think are more important
I usually don't care too much if I break things, because I have to rewrite a lot
(this project is not a simple project and I am lerning while I write it)
Evil_Bob
ah yea i see your point :)
k0ga
In the moment it is good enough to generate code, any code, then a test suite must be written to check everything and avoid regressions
but scc is far from this point, very far
Evil_Bob
yea, nice work though :)
stateless
morning
lostd
http://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/patches/5.6/common/027_tcp-timer.patch.sig
k0ga
stateless: what do you think about my patch for the Makefile?
you patch hurt me because I have CC=c99 in my environment
stateless
ah right ok
k0ga, looks ok
k0ga
and -ansi is not supported by pcc (In my ststem, c99 is a shell script that calls cc that is pcc)
stateless
lostd, updated u.2f30.org :)
new version of unbound hit -current
nice
lostd
k0ga: what is the status of pcc? do you run it on amd64?
k0ga
no, x86
lostd
ok
k0ga
in fact, I didn't know c99 was pcc until today
lostd
in what system?
k0ga
I am subscribed to the pcc ml, and I didn't know that I was using pcc all the days xD
debian testing
lostd
hehe

FRIGN

hey guys
Evil_Bob
hi FRIGN
FRIGN
Evil_Bob: k0ga: stateless: how is work on scc?
Would love to help :DD haha, but gotta learn for the upcoming exams next week
Evil_Bob
FRIGN: only did 2 minor changes, i think i'll follow it from a distance for now :)
FRIGN
k
Evil_Bob: I could help with parsing actually. I'm not that proficient with asm tbh
k0ga
FRIGN: I am rewriting the preprocessor now
I expect send a patch tomorrow or in the weekend
FRIGN
k0ga: Rewrite the prepo, Rewrite the repro, Rewrite the repro now!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mfIielbZWA
Evil_Bob: ^ ;)
k0ga
FRIGN: if you want collaborate with the parser, there is something that is easy
FRIGN
k0ga: please, ask me at the beginning of August
I'm busy with exams atm
