It's imho the simplest way

<@stateless> + res = (x < y) ? (-1) : (x > y); <- is sbase being rewriten in lisp?
atmc
k0ga: no, but it should be :)
k0ga
;)
I like lisp
it is a well designed language
(CLisp is ot of this comment)
s/ot/out/
atmc
common lisp is ok
scheme, especially chicken is really cool.
k0ga
for me common lisp is too bloated
atmc
yes. thats what scheme is for
k0ga: you're the wrong person to ask for a sync service? like dropbox :)
k0ga
hahahahahaha
I think I am the wrong person
use an AFS server in your home machine :P
atmc
does this support sync?
k0ga: so afs is sshfs without the lag for used files?
k0ga
?
I don't see the relation betwen afs and sshfs
afs ia an evolution of coda
atmc
so i mount the fs and files i use are cached
so no lag like i'd use the file pure remotely
k0ga
and you can work disconnected
afs is a distributed network file system
with cache and replication
atmc
so its even better than the sh*tt sync services
k0ga
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_File_System
atmc
uh... kerberos auth
FRIGN
good morning guys
k0ga
morning
atmc: the other alternative is to use plan9
FRIGN: I was confused witth your grades
I am used to 0-10 grades
FRIGN
here, the grades span from 1.0 to 5.0
>4.0 - 5.0 is failed
1.0-4.0 is the passed range
(usually starting from 50% of points)
1.0 is the best, 4.0 is the worst
k0ga
wow
less is more
FRIGN
yeah
atmc
k0ga: its like the A-F grading
A+ A A-
1.0 1.3 1.7 2.0 (B+)
k0ga
atmc: we don't use the A-F grading
0-4.99 suspended
5-5.99
6-8.99
9-10
(I omitted the name of the califications because I don't know how translate them to english ;))
asie
in Poland grades span from 1 to 6
they used to span from 2 to 5
1 not passing (later on it's also 2 not passing), 3-5 normal, 6 technically "near-perfect"
no, it's not a proportional scale
2-5 was proportional but then they added on the 1 and 6
it maps like this: 0-40% 1, 41-85/90% 2-4, 85/90-95% 5, 96-100% 6
though the exact details depend on the school
many schools do 0-30% 1
FRIGN
asie: yo
asie: okay, I had 78/85 =~= 92% :) , so it was
a 5
