Evil_Bob
stateless: do you know more about the GPL license issues regarding the linker for sta.li?
is it an issue?
good morning btw :)
stateless
Evil_Bob, not sure
just fixed some code that was using '-DFOO=\\\\\\\\"%s\\\\\\\\"' % env[foo]
in fact he had 16 \ at the start and 16 \ at the end
because each time scons was passing this to another script
it was stripping off one \
so he had just the right number of backslashes
so in the end it is passed to the code as -DFOO=\"foo\"
...........
people suck
he had a comment on top
# find a better way to do this
...
I felt like changing it to
# find another job

Evil_Bob: incredible gcc doesn't give any error or warning in a code like"
int main(void) {int f(int f, int g) {return 0;} return 0;}
even with -Wall
you have to put -pedantic
pedantic?, this is not c code
do you understand now why I don't trust gcc warnings?
Evil_Bob
kindof yea, they also give false positives for unused variables and stuff, still its helpful imho
k0ga
yes
the thing I don;t like is the push style issues in the warnings
s/;/'/
Evil_Bob
i dunno, a good style prevents common bugs, but one can disagree which style is good or not i suppose :)
k0ga
indeed
atmc
do you guys all use st as termemu?
k0ga
the problem is they push things og GNU style ;)
s/og/of/
atmc: I use it
atmc
i didn't care and just use gnome-terminal
but its slow with my big fonts
k0ga
atmc you will go to the hell :P
kori
atmc: I started using st recently
the fact some box drawing characters are rendered weirdly kinda pisses me off
but then again
I hate ncurses
k0ga
kori: what characters?
kori
and shouldn't be using my terminal for anything other than CLI applications at this day and age
k0ga
it should do it well
__20h__ and I are the maintainers
kori
k0ga: 1 sec
k0ga
if you have some problem please let us know it
kori
k0ga: https://u.teknik.io/g2Tr3c.png
those box drawing characters should all be connecting and 1px wide
and the bars in alsamixer are overstepping boundaries :P
k0ga
kori: I have problems with the url
atmc
for me its ok
kori
k0ga: any preferred img host?
atmc
it shows some px off
kori
base64 via sprunge, maybe?
atmc
lol :D
kori
k0ga: http://sprunge.us/LReY base64'd
atmc
this just blew my nerd mind...
kori
atmc: it's quite simple
I thought about doing this while really bored
and then z3bra told me "oh I did this before" and then I got bummed out
:O
:P''''
atmc
so you just do >> img | base64 | sprunge
kori
base64 <image> | sprunge is how I did it
and then, to decode it, curl <sprungelink> | base64 -d | feh -
