hi FRIGN
FRIGN
what's up k0ga? Feeling a bit better?
:)
k0ga
a bit, but I'm having some problems again
ppl in my rrom like put air conditioning or fan even with 24 degrees
FRIGN
k0ga: that's horrible
this moving air really can make you sick
because it dries out your throat
k0ga
yes
we are two spaniards and two serbians in the room
FRIGN
that's one hell of a combination
k0ga
Serbians are a bit special, at least this is my experience with them

let's see how it goes
:P
FRIGN
stateless: still no reply?
stateless
that's another patch
I got replies off list for the other
FRIGN
positive or negative?
stateless
positive
just need to do some optimizations and it will be accepted
biniar
hello everyone
stateless
hi biniar
biniar
hey stateless
start any new projects? :)
stateless
biniar, I am working on this these days http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=144249793525115&w=2
I just posted it here :P
FRIGN
:P
hey biniar
biniar
yo FRIGN
what's up
FRIGN
biniar: not much, fixing st-patches ^^
biniar
noice
thanks again for the help btw on my st config
stateless: is that the patch from a few days ago then you sent in?
stateless
no
biniar
you keep sending in patched they should give you a commit bit soon
patches*
stateless
lol
we'll do a party then
biniar
that's quite an accomplishment in my opinion
have you learned anything ne wand exciting?
s/ne wand/new and
stateless
well many things about the openbsd kernel
the manpages for the kernel interfaces are awesome
biniar
I've not done any kernel hacking yet
stateless
it is a lot easier to do on openbsd than on linux
for various reasons
biniar
I've heard that the dev tools are much niceer
stateless
a) better docs, b) the kernel is not preemptive, c) clearer code
there does exist a lot of legacy/magic code in there however
biniar
:/
maybe i'll find a tend year old plus bug :)
damn my typing suck today
FRIGN
biniar: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTgwNTg
you mean this? :P
stateless
hahaha forgot about that
biniar
Wow
FRIGN
lol, stateless, the st-externalpipe-patches were broken like hell
stateless
FRIGN, yeah i bet
FRIGN
I fixed them
and I removed all this git format-patch crap
just plain diffs
otherwise we get issues
stateless
what issues?
FRIGN
for instance, when people download source-tarballs
stateless
u can apply git format-patch patches with patch(1)
you don't need git
there's no difference between them
FRIGN
ah well, nvm then
stateless
:)
be back meeting
FRIGN
ok
biniar
uh oh
I am going to ride the bike on this beautiful day.
FRIGN
okay
I'm gonna cook some soup now
and go back to patches later :)
cya later folks
biniar
I made some yesterday FRIGN
:)
and apple crumb cake

Evil_Bob
stateless: nice work!
btw any Golang gurus here?
poptart
lol what did you break Evil_Bob?
Evil_Bob
hmm i have this program, probably bad design but it has a map[string]*sync.RWMutex
i want to set locks (and delete them from this), but ofcourse i need to have a sync.RWMutex for this map aswell
how can i make this not lock each time in particular when i only just read from it?
stateless
Evil_Bob, use a read lock when u are reading
u can have many readers at the same time
or one writer and no other writers or readers
