gregwork
hi is there anything I can do to clean up the cldb on my dirsrv
17G cldb
transaction logs from november 2014
simo
yes reduce the changelog to hold only the last X days of log
gregwork
simo, given that this is freeipa, how do I do that
is there some document that describes how to modify the changelog for freeipa servers
simo
gregwork: I think I've seen a patch land, but I was not involved
should probably ask on #freeipa

gregwork: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/10/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#Managing_Replication-Configuring-Replication-cmd
gregwork: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/10/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#tab.changelog-attributes
gregwork: change changelogmaxage to something reasonable like 1 month
gregwork
if i do that, what will the directory do once the attributes are set on this 1+ year cldb
will it reach in and pull out the left hemisphere
richm
not sure if it takes effect immediately, or, when it does take effect, what the effect on your server will be as it tries to clean up over a year of data
gregwork
heh
