ReimuHakurei
lel
Hello, donttalktome!
yuriks
zero width space? :P
ReimuHakurei
ASCII 15
yuriks
Lectem: ugh.
Lectem
I love the title :p
yuriks
what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
I'm gonna just close everything
PopEyes
hi
yuriks
someone must be really bored
I'm tempted to just set +r
oh, that was actually the correct mode
thomas: hi, have you come to help us with our annoying spambot problem?
thomas
looks like you've got it handled :)
yuriks
+r isn't ideal though, a bunch of regular contributors don't use registered nicks :/
thomas
yeah, i'll keep half an eye on here if you -r
likely the same dude who's been going around the whole network
yuriks
ok
furyhunter
and nothing really prevents the botter from registering nicks to spam with
ReimuHakurei
furyhunter: yeah, my network discovered that the hard way
our spammer friend started registering nickserv accounts.
yuriks
thomas: donttalk'tome is an auto-kick bot, but seems like it doesn't react to notices
ReimuHakurei: ugh.
ReimuHakurei: with email verification?
ReimuHakurei
yuriks: we managed to break our Services package's email verification with an unrelated patch
yuriks
xD
Johnson
hey
i love playing 3ds with my Johnson out
yuriks
lol furyhunter, I just saw your privmsg
profi200
yuriks: Voice everyone and set +m.
yuriks
profi200: turns into a pain to manage. Anyway, the problem should be solved now
profi200
No bot here which can kickban on flood?
If this network has botserv it should be easy to setup.
Looks like it doesn't.
endrift: The latest mGBA doesn't freeze anymore but performance seems to have decreased a bit.
I must say however this is the most accurate GBA emu i have ever seen.
shuffle2
what are you saying about no$ bro
Normmatt
mgba is more accurate than no$ :P
profi200
Running no$GBA on 3DS would be even slower :p
vaguerant
Yeah, it's frankly pretty weird to see an emulator so accurate running on a 3DS.
profi200
endrift: Well, after playing for like 30 minutes it froze. So there are more of these freezing waits.
KuKzz
<yuriks> I'm tempted to just set +r - don't do that please
it won't stop the dedicated spammers and many of us here are too lazy to register on every irc network :)
profi200
Aaaaand freeze just 3 minutes after running a game. I would say the problem is indeed not fixed.
Looked around and others also still have freezes.
It's more random as before. Sometimes it is early sometimes you can play 30 minutes without any problem.
Btw: Tried the scaling. It works but it looks ugly. No filter is used.
vaguerant
Yeah, PokeMini 3DS looks the same, which makes it more of a bummer it only does 2* scale.
I'm curious what makes it go all ... sh*tty. It's different to just nearest neighbor.
Something sh*ttier happens.
profi200
I guess sf2dlib uses no or a sh*tty filter by default.
Lectem
No filter
And no AA
vaguerant
But why do things go all (and this is a technical term) "sandy".
Like you might have a straight horizontal line which is being stretched vertically. It should still be a straight horizontal line but instead there's bumps all along it.
It should be fairly noticeable anywhere, but try e.g. Mario Kart; on the title screen, the "single player", "multiplayer", etc. text is all natively unaliased.
profi200
Because Pikatchu GPU :p
vaguerant
When scaled up, it goes all "gritty".
profi200
Changed SOUND_REPEAT to SOUND_ONE_SHOT and the echo effect and the louder left speaker are gone. However the sound has a lot of stuttering or pauses in between.
pauldachz
^ That's how most emulators output by default. Once you're at fullspeed, there should be no stuttering.
archshift
[04:08:16] <profi200> Running no$GBA on 3DS would be even slower :p
Running no$ on a 3DS would be impossible since it's written in x86 asm :P
nopy
We could use DosBox XD
yuriks
archshift: wasn't that the joke? That you'd need to emulate x86?
archshift
possibly
nopy4869
Does anyone have any idea why my msys exes keep stackdumping?
Lectem
update / reinstall/install msys1
msys2*
yuriks
nopy4869: did you update it recently?
StapleButter
mysql
endrift
profi200: sf2dlib doesn't give an option of which filter to use
otherwise trust me, I'd be using a filter
nopy4869
My problem ended up being the fact that it was defaulting to the msys make command, which has had a history of doing this kind of thing
When I downloaded a new copy of MinGW's make and pointed it to that it started working fine
endrift
yuriks: I have questions about 3DS arbiters
yuriks
shoot
endrift
yuriks: does ARBITER_ACQUIRE atomically modify the passed in address
?
or ARBITER_FREE for that matter
there's zilch documentation how how it works
yuriks
where are those identifiers from?
endrift
ctrulib
https://github.com/smealum/ctrulib/blob/master/libctru/include/3ds/svc.h#L75-L81
yuriks
oh, that
pretty sure those are all wrong
endrift
:<
yuriks
https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/blob/master/src/core/hle/kernel/address_arbiter.h
endrift
oh pfft
yuriks
btw, you can use the same arbiter for several addresses
endrift
I know
or rather, I figured that out
so wait, then value is the EXPECTED value?
yuriks
mhmm
endrift
ok
yuriks
well, matching the descriptions, of course
endrift
that makes sense
so I'm confused now, it's WaitIfLessThan, and exchange if not?
or
@_@
yuriks
it doesn't modify the value
