Rickta59
years of proven reliablity
Spirilis
used to be the "mixed signal" aspect was a big deal but now everyone has that
ike
mixed signal/ flash/ on-chip debug ...
now everyone has that
and low power
Rickta59
ti name
awesome tech support
decent tech docs
not in chinglish
ike
awesome tech support
yea right
if you buy 100 000 000 chips
Spirilis
especially for their own-funded GCC compiler
ike
then maybe
Rickta59
i don't know ..
compared to the other companies ..
ike
docs are good
Rickta59
they actually are pretty good
ike
some times ;)
http://www.ti.com/lit/er/slaz440g/slaz440g.pdf
LPM3 and LPM4 currents exceed specified limits
and that is not in datash*t
it's in errata
Spirilis
who switches SMCLK to VLO or LFXT1 just before going into LPM?
LPM3/4, rather
come to think of it, LPM3 has SMCLK turned off?
ike
I think that there was some catch
if some module is using SMCLK then SMCLK didn't stop
or something like that
Spirilis
ahh
ike
maybe I'm wrong
IKD
I use to know those things
Spirilis
not sure, sounds like something the FR5xxx series would do
there's a special bit for each of those clocks to keep them on or turn them off in LPM
i.e. overriding the peripherals' clock requests
Rickta59
what was the last thing you built with a g2553 ike?
ike
nothing ;)
I started to make BT detector
Rickta59
exactly .. so who cares
ike
msp430 stan for specific BT MAC address
and if it find it, then sound the alarm
there was one person
who is stupid, and have his BT aways on
so I would know when he comes near
Rickta59
of all the chips i have .. the msp430 has pretty much ignored all my attempts to kill it
i can't say that about everything I've tried
ike
some people say that for pic16f
like running it at 12V
backwards
Rickta59
i haven't tried those .. but yes i've heard that too
ike
and it got too hot to touch
I
had problem with one
I think flashing led at 16MHz
or something like that
and it freeze
I told you about that
but I don't know how much capacity have led
maybe it draw too much current
at 16MHz
I think it was msp430g2211
