crisco
ahh
thanks
Ycros
I don't know how invested in Live you are, but as I mentioned before, Bitwig officially documents their stuff
and they have a big community library of these scripts
maybe something in there that'll be close to what you need
crisco
i have mostly used live, haven't used bitwig but in the channel they told me for the JS api i'd have to wrap each VST that i want to control in a wrapper/container or something
Ycros
hmm
yeah, there may be problems around that in live, because VST devices are a bit different
it's possible someone's written something for this
hmm
oh, yeah, I guess with remote scripts you'd also be able to target specific midi ports
since that's how you hook them up
crisco: I also wonder if eigend would maybe do what you want, it was built for the eigenharp, you can use it with anything. It hosts VSTs, and has a midi routing matrix that you could setup to map CCs to VST parameters (I peeked at the manual)
not sure how hard it is to use

raz
god damnit ableton
SNAP MY FUCKING NOTES TO THE FUCKING GRID
egrouse
lol
ableton 9 raz?
raz
all abletons
egrouse
yeah its wierd man haha
raz
you know.. when you SHIFT-right or SHIFT-left to lengthen/shorten a note
egrouse
aye
raz
and you want it to end on the motherfu*king grid
egrouse
if its not snapped already it fu*ks it up lol
raz
not on whatever retarded length ableton thinks you might want
yea... even when its snapped its fu*ked
it somehow depends on the initial size of the note i tihnk
like, it always changes the length in multiples of the original length
which is.. the most retarded behavior i can imagine
i cant remember that EVER helped me
i just want the sh*t to snap to the grid, and if i want odd lengths then i will nudge them myself...
orrr this infuriates me...
egrouse
yeah
