Lucretia
sparre: ??

nerdboy
shhh! we're sleeping in here...
jk4
he has been saying some very ACT-related things hasn't he?
wow
just wow guys
no one has published an article since june 11?
planet ada is a ghost town
of 12 blogs
Lucretia
jk4: I've only seen that one comment
sparre
Lucretia: Emmanuel has made something public on the ACT GtkAda mailing-list. I'll dig out a quote...
Lucretia: "We are working on a way to put things up in a public git repository, but that needs both corporate decisions and cleanup to remove customer code that should of course stay private. So that takes time (and may not even happen, I don't get to decide :-)"
I'm not working at/for ACT.
egilhh
they have put Lua bindings on GitHub, https://github.com/AdaCore
(hopefully, that's just a start...)
sparre
It is at least an indication of a direction I like.
Visaoni
I'm curious why they ended up with customer code mixed in with everything
egilhh
I suspect their test suites at least are littered with customer code (from error reports, etc)
sparre
Sounds like an argument for keeping test suites separate from development.
Although that may introduce synchronisation problems.
egilhh
I always reduce the problems to small reproducers and obfuscate variable names, etc, so any error report made by me shouldn't be a problem :)
charlie5
go go gadget gps build (yet again)

(Action) twiddles thumbs waiting for builds
(Action) 's thumbs go faster
... and faster ... oh, no ! ... thumb collision at 0.99 lightspeed ... quantum umplosion ... new particles appear, entangle charlie quantumly, leaving nothing but a smoking pile of neutronium
... or a smoking pile of bsh*t more likely
(Action) leaves channel in peace
egilhh
maybe you'll decay into charlie4 soon :p
charlie5
(Action) wonders what his 1/2 life is
marino: have you had a crack at gtkada/gps recently ?
i *think* i have the gpl15 versions building ok on archlinux
marino
freebsd had them all month ago
charlie5
glug
marino
aren't you using them on pc-bsd?
charlie5
i guess my pcbsd autoupdate isn't working as i'd expected
nope :/
pcbsd has a upadtes alert ... i figured that owuld tell me but probly it is only for core system mods
marino
you have to reinstall everything probably
charlie5
i''ll check the ports
yeah, 6.1.1 is in ports
will be interesting to look at your patches
heh, that # make config-recursive i s sure handy
is
(Action) loves the smell of a clean compile in the evening
jk4
(Action) sweeps up smoking pile of charlie5 neutronium
charlie5
better use a very stiff broom
charlie5 neutronium is extra heavy
jk4
it's that aussie diet
charlie5
no doubt :)
marino: i've hit a build snag with gnatcoll ... Value 'linux' is illegal for typed string "os"
on pcbsd
marino
what are you doing that is not standard? redefining target?
charlie5
nothing that i'm aware of
went to /usr/ports/devel/gps and did a config recursive, taking most defaults, then a make
marino
i don't know. it should build on pc-bsd like it builds everywhere on freebsd
charlie5
ok, i'll let you know if i find anything
marino
doesn't pc-bsd provide packages?
why would you compile if you don't have to?
charlie5
yes, pcbsd is just freebsd pre-configured for gui
i was curious ?
ok, i'll use pkgs
mm, ok, the gps pkg claims to be up to date
nm, i'll sort it out tomorrow
glug
probly my mistake
OCTAGRAM
(Action) spent 16 hours trying to make wxWidgets run, they either don't build or Hello World application does not link, or now I made it link, but it crashes then
charlie5
OCTAGRAM: :(
Lucretia: knows a bit about wx
