Lucretia
I'm knocking up a plan of what a site like that should do.
and ada-lang.org should be a central site for the language, like swift-lang and golang and rust-lang
do you want anything for it?
oliver117
hmm
Lucretia
(Action) thinks he better not be thinking of gold bars
(Action) could probably stretch to a dime bar
jk4
100 gold kugarands
oliver117
the thing with these -lang sites is that it's mostly the site for the language as well as the implementation
e.g., php, python, scala, &c.
for Ada it would have to be different
then the question is where would be the right place for such a site between adaic.org, gnat ...
Lucretia
hmmm
do you think it best to stick to a tld ?
oliver117
?
Lucretia
(Action) is easy either way
(Action) doesn't mind a longer domain like caan.network/software/directory
oliver117
I think caan.software would be fitting
Lucretia
I would go .tech but fu*k £167
caan.club is only £7 :D
then it's a matter of getting people to mirror it
and running an Ada server

The Device Descriptor Information (TLV) section contains a 128-bit true random seed that can be used to implement a deterministic random number generator.
true random seed that can be used to implement a deterministic random number generator??

sparre: you are right... dunno why I mistook you
Shark8
darkestkhan: you can use http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.26.2533&rep=rep1&type=pdf
oliver117: Please don't use make. It's evil.
oliver117
make rules
gpr sucks like a vacuum
Shark8
Lucretia: (re: TLD) -- Yes, stick to a TLD. We can have something like TLD/compilers/implementation[/version] if we need to give info on implementations.
darkestkhan: ...or I could email the pdf to you.
oliver117: I don't disagree about gpr sucking [it's too unrestricted in structure, and tends to get a bit "stringly-typed"].
oliver117
I guess you meant strongly-typed. stringly-typed is what make is
gpr is restricted compared to make
plus it sneaks in compiler switches
Shark8
oliver117: But I do disagree on make -- this brings up some really good points: http://www.conifersystems.com/whitepapers/gnu-make/
oliver117: Just because gpr is more strongly typed than make doesn't make it strongly typed any more than PHP's fast-and-loose with types makes C strongly-typed.
oliver117
trollolol: "Unfortunately, if there are two files named foo.c in the vpath directories for %.c, it may select the wrong one."
Lucretia
Shark8: don't know what yer talking about there
Shark8
Lucretia: You were talking about ada-lang.org (I think .org) and mentioned "someplace between ADAIC and GNAT"
Lucretia: Wait, no, that was oliver117. My mistake.
