go to the source link :-)
https://bitbucket.org/cnngimenez/finding-ada/src
jk4
yes but which file has the problem code
cnngimenez
well, the file with the Character problem is at common/fa-langconf.adb
but, I will fix it now :-P
yep, now works :-P
pushed :-)
jk4
what was ths solution?
antranigv
I was thinking about making armenian langauge tutorial for Ada, however ada.am was taken, any domain anyone would suggest?
kline
learnada.am?
the domain doesnt really matter
the content does
antranigv
kline: totally agree with you (: ada-hy.am looks nice.
kline
what does the hy mean?
marino
adaian.com ? :)
kline
im just aware theres another technology called "hy"
(python-lisp)
marino
kline: hy is locale abbrev
antranigv
adaian.am, cool! kline hy is for "Hyeren" = Armenian
kline
aha
antranigv
anyway, I'm still trying to understand how to define a function/procedure, the bad thing from python is showing up
as in python there is no need to define stuff in while defining a function, but in compiled languages (mostly Wirthian, right?) there is a need.
marino
wirthian sounds amenian
antranigv
lol, ok, from Wirth (ALGOL/Pascal-like)
marino: you know armenian?
marino
antranigv: i know surnames end in "-ian". :)
antranigv
hah, that's true (:
sparre
antranigv: What is the problem with declaring a subprogram?
Natacha
it feels like going through the customs, having to declare everything...
antranigv
well, the code is http://paste.antranigv.me/pi5dzp3nv , I'm getting the error stringing.adb:8:01: end of file expected, file can have only one compilation unit, which as I understood, I did something while ending the subprogram?
sparre
antranigv: There is more than one compilation unit in that file.
You could try "gnatchop" on it to see how many.
antranigv
ah I see, nice on sparre, ok, can't I define subprograms within one file?
and 2)
ah never mind, I'll try first
and then ask
:P
sparre
The trick is to learn about packages.
First types, then packages, then subprograms.
antranigv
aha~, let's start reading then (:
sparre
(Action) has spent most of the day translating parts of a UI to Danish. Looking forward to get back to my command line parser generator...
antranigv
(Action) assumes sparre is part of ada-dk.org project/team.
sparre
I'm a member of the board and occasional contributor to the web site.
jk4
what board?
oh
i didn't realize it was that formal
antranigv
If Ada is being used in spaceships, aircraft and high-speed trains, then why shouldnt it be used everywhere else? The question should not be why Ada?, but instead why not Ada? < nice saying!
jk4
because capitalism
means you get a world of "good enough"
Lucretia
beacause "C rocks"
antranigv
I didn't know I can do Put(one & two & three); yay (:
OCTAGRAM
some Guys experimented with overloading operators in Ada, and they came to a syntax that looks like Function_Name((+"String", +1, +True, ...));
I personally had a wrapper for Matreshka SQL that allowed me to write "SELECT " & (Maybe_Integer_Variable'Access = "`Field_1`") & ", " & (Maybe_String_Variable'Access = "`Field2`") & " FROM ..."
jk4
oh god
sparre
Ada in Denmark is a formal association (and a member of Ada Europe).
(Action) spends more time volunteering for Ada Europe (editing the news section of Ada User Journal) than for Ada-DK.
OCTAGRAM: Any reason it had to be 'Access?

does anybody here have experience with writing Spark VCs using the Coq integration ?
darkestkhan
as far as open source cpus are concerned there is Leon 2 - it is under GPL iirc. It is Sparc 8 based (- quad precision)
