charlie5
well, after i get the humans looking less freakish
heh, an online rpg ... nothing new
Visaoni
hm
call them aliens instead
problem solved?
charlie5
:)
tempting
... but when i animate them they morph back into rela looking humans
real
Visaoni
surely it's easier to make the animation worse?
charlie5
it's probly just some simple bug i've managed to introduce ... both anim and physics based humans were working ok a while back ... but i've since changed OS and made a fair few code changes since i last tried them
also, the tools which generate the model may be diff versions
Visaoni
ah, that'll do it :)
charlie5
heh, yup
only just tried the demo's again today after a longish break, so still getting back up to speed with the code
(Action) should probly sleep on it
antranigv1
sorry, anything famous of day-to-day usage is written in Ada? I think Ncurces is written in Ada?
geeze, my connection is killing me :/
I think I need to enter IRC channels from my server, the wifi is not that good :/
Visaoni
I don't know how famous it is, but didn't the UK do their air traffic control in Ada or SPARK or osmething?
antranigv
ping
antranigv1
ping back
good antranigv
antranigv
cool, anyway, tnx Visaoni for the info, there was this good site where I saw stuff like that
antranigv1: you may go now (:
antranigv1
thank you Master (:
sparre
Visaoni: Yes.
The Eurocontrol software (in charge of routing air traffic throughout Europe) is in Ada.
The British air traffic control software is in SPARK.
Visaoni
Oh, didn't realize Europe air traffic control was in Ada too. Cool
sparre
That's not really "traffic control", but traffi routing.
Still, it's 2.1 M lines of Ada.
Visaoni
ah, alright
that's pretty hefty
sparre
Not safety critical like traffic control is.
Guest79051
all in Spark
AFAIK
or was that the UK air traffic stuff?
sparre
The UK system is all SPARK. The Eurocontrol is plain Ada.
(Action) knows a few people working on the Eurocontrol software.
Visaoni: I have a package for circumventing some of the limitations of GNAT.Sockets (by mapping the Socket_Type to a POSIX.File_Descriptor).
Lucretia
charlie5: human's is quite good - the uk version anyway. I hear the swedish version is really good - not seen it.
Visaoni: you looked at ada2js in matreshka?
darkestkhan
fu*k, forecast says 16 days more of 35+°C...
(Action) doesn't advertise it, but he does physical work... his Monday looks bad
I do all my programming on laptop... it is really uncomfortable to use laptop when temps in my room go past 40°C
jk4
darkestkhan: ph..ph..physical work?
darkestkhan
jk4: yeah, like the kind where you actually have to use muscles - assuming you still remember what muscles are
jk4
you have a cs degree though don't you?
darkestkhan
I don't :)
needed some cash, took some relatively light work - if I will want to upgrade PC then it is +2 months of work
jk4
yow
i thought you had been in school
darkestkhan
never said I finished :
:P
jk4
ah ha
darkestkhan
I need <3Kpln for coal for winter +2k for additional savings
I could get programming job, but I need some cash first - I live in my hometown, small city - but programming jobs are only in big cities and I need some cash for first month there
kinda chicken and egg problem
heat wave is biggest problem with my work atm xD
jk4
i also thought you were on hungary
darkestkhan
Poland
jk4
i see that
but you speak hungarian?
darkestkhan
nope
although it is on my "languages to learn list"
dunno what for, but it is there xD
(Action) hopes that heatwave will stop soon - if not then we are getting into energy use restrictions
(due to lack of cooling for power plants they have to be shutdown temporarily)
jk4
aye
Visaoni
sparre: Any reason you didn't rebind GNAT.Sockets.Thin? Mapping to POSIX.File_Descriptor seems a little strange, although if you have that code public I'd be interested to see it.
Lucretia: Hm, ada2js looks interesting but I don't know if it's worth it. Would need to figure out how to get it to use the PDF API, and even then most of the pain is going to be the terrible UI, I think
Lucretia
ask godunko
Natacha: how goes the markdown?
