dbrgn
jodal: I'll also join the sprints tomorrow and partially on sunday :)
name is danilo
dbrgn on twitter & github.
discovered mopidy through your lightning talk. i'm working on a custom raspi radio project (with our selfmade hardware audio interface) where this is the ideal tool :) also, i have an old radio at home that i want to upgrade to a raspberry pi.
i think it's this one - definitely needs some actual microelectronics ;) http://www.radiomuseum.org/images/radio/grundig/2012_102869.jpg
jodal
the sprint has started. we're in Chillida (1st floor)
:-)
we're already two at the mopidy table
make that four :-)
ejahn, dprokic, dbrgn: welcome!
kingosticks: awake? :-)
adamcik will be joining us soonish
adamcik
made it in, just had to find some food
jodal
oops... that was one commit too much pushed
that's what you get for not making PRs
dbrgn
why does the track object sent via websockets to the browser not contain all fields from models/__init__.py?
isn't it simply serialized directly?
and is there some easy way to debug the current objects in the REPL?
(like the current playlist etc)
adamcik
I've been just pulling up ipython and doing: from mopidy.local.json import load_library; library = load_library('/home/adamcik/.local/share/mopidy/local/library.json.gz')
which gives me a bunch of test models to play with
kingostix
hello
hm what is my auth doing
kingosticks
:)
so yeh, im half here and half sort of watching the cycling... although the stream is dead so maybe im fully here
jodal
TdF will still be there next year :P
kingosticks
yeh but froome!
and they are doing the mountain i did last week
jodal
:-)
kingosticks: can you make a prioritized wishlist of extensions you want debian packaged for pi musicbox?
kingosticks
i'll just watch the highlights
yes

back in 5
jodal
bad, bad jodal. pushing without running tests
kingosticks
i think i'll have another stab at tracking down my m-s2 segfaults
im sure i used to be able to use my system-wide python binary in gdb with the coredump from my virtualenv python
txomon
kingosticks: as long as they have the same python binary version
AFAIK
so may we have a brainstorming on the design at 17?

jodal
I think adamcik's and my head is way way too slow after last night at your place to be thinking today
I'm planning like sushi+one beer and then hacking/reading/sleeping in my room tonight, so maybe I'll be a bit more awake tomorrow
home drunk at 03:30... at the sprints 09:15
txomon
if someone want to join the brainstorming, please tell!

kingosticks
the error says CRC mismatch
but ive messed around somewhat and its going
something out of sp_session_process_events causes a segfault when you stop mopidy
i guess freeing something thats already been freed
but sometimes it doesnt actually provide a core, despite claiming to
adamcik
apport stealing your cores?
txomon
adamcik: ping me when you ready =) Will be refurbishing python-soundcloud for now
kingosticks
adamcik: no, it works sometimes.
but anyway, when i get one it's not much help
too many ??s for my liing

mikeburbidge
hey guys
could someone assist me on setting up mopidy, im new to linux
I've installed it, but am getting configuration errors
WARNING Found spotify configuration errors, the extension has been automatically disabled:
any ideas ?
jodal
mikeburbidge: you need to set your spotify username and password in the mopidy config file
mikeburbidge
hi jodal
have done that, but still getting an error
jodal
do you run mopidy yourself or as a system service?
mikeburbidge
run myself
jodal
can you see the username in the output of `mopidy config`? if not, it is not able to read the config file properly
mikeburbidge
no, it says "must be set" even tho i have set it in the conf file
jodal
have you remembered to remove the "#" in front of the config? it makes the config value a comment, so it has no effect
mikeburbidge
aha
z;
my first time using linux, straight from windows
do i remove all the #'s for the spotify section?
jodal
you only need to remove the # where you change the configs. the values you see there are the default values
mikeburbidge
great. i have it connected
where do i find the the output stream address?
jodal
mopidy plays the audio at the server. you use the network/clients to control the playback
there's some hacks to get streaming, but they're not perfect
mikeburbidge
I see
basically what i'm trying to achieve here is to stream music from spotify to my pure sensia internet radio in the kitchen
i used to do it through Windows, but finding it a bit of a challenge to set up with linux
any ideas on how I could achieve this?
jodal
look into mopidy + icecast
I have lousy net right now, so I have trouble finding the links for you
