adamcik: finally I was able to configure weechat with glowing bear, docker nginx-gen, reverse proxy, ssl... but I get disconnections every time I stop using the gb window

Disabled extension spotify: pyspotify<1.999,>=1.9 required, but found pyspotify 2.0.2 at /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages
huh?
i even uninstalled an reinstalled the package and verified version 2.0.1
not sure why it would still think it needs those dependancies
nvm found random egg_info folder from 1.4.0 install hanging out
adamcik
txomon|sauron: do you have the timeout values for nginx that xt mentioned?
txomon|home
adamcik, I have timeouts for the browser if you mean that, yes
dz0ny
btw any particular reason why would you use nginx?
you use it just for proxy with auth right?
txomon|home
dz0ny, SSL and basic auth if wished
the idea is not to let direct access to anything, that way I can filter by hostname
jodal
(Action) almost bought an edimax EW-7811UN and two pi-fi wifi adapters
kingosticks: I have an odroid wifi module 4 that doesn't immediately seem to work with pi musicbox.. I'll look into it. (yes, I've actually installed pi musicbox for the first time!)
dz0ny
txomon|sauron: haproxy?
adamcik
txomon|sauron: ngnix timeout settings
proxy_read_timeout 604800;
without that you will get disconnects
dz0ny
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
should suffice for ws
from 1.3
adamcik
forget which version I have from the ppa these days
1.8.0 it seems
maybe I should try without the timeouts again
kingosticks
jodal: what is it?
jodal
kingosticks: rt2800usb driver, I believe
Ralink RT5572 chip
kingosticks
and that's not in firmware-ralink ?
i hate wireless drivers
jodal
kingosticks: don't listen to me. I only noticed that it didn't immediately work. I haven't logged in over ethernet and checked anything
adamcik
one of my co-workers here has a clementine music player sticker on her laptop, we should really look at that logo comp. idea someone had. would be cool with stickers :-)
jodal
it would :-)

Hi, Tobias here. I have set up my rasperry pi with the extrenal device hifiberry dac on raspian with mopidy. It worked for several month, but I decided to make a new set up. Since then I got some problems. My gstreamer doesnt work without sudo (I found out just now). Do you got ideas how to solve this?
The test of the gstreamer gst-launch-0.10 audiotestsrc ! autoaudiosink or alsasink doesnt work by itself, but only with sudo and makes the test tone. I had a look to the permissions and the user pi is allready a member of the group audio.
jodal
which user does mopidy run as? pi? or the "mopidy" user which the debian package sets up when it is installed?
tobi1
Since now I only used pi. Let me have a look......
jodal
how do you start mopidy?
tobi1
I justed typed mopidy to the terminal.
jodal
also, if you recently added pi to the audio group, you must either log out and in again to make that active, or run "newgrp audio"
tobi1
as user pi.
jodal
ok, then it is not using the mopidy user
tobi1
I am reading the docs about the debian package but its hard for me to understand evrything.
jodal
nothing there is very important when you just run "mopidy" as a regular user
tobi1
Ok. The gst-launch-0.10 audiotestsrc ! autoaudiosink gives me a tone back as user pi after a reboot without using sudo. Thats good.
But if I am running mopidy without sudo as user pi, I get gstreamer errors, unfortunately. Better open a new thread with logs in pastebins?
dz0ny
snf that user is in audio group :)
esp for external dacs that use gpio
tobi1
User pi is in audio group. The command "groups pi" showed that. The user mopidy i also there.
Last failure for today: If in [audio] output= autoaudiosink, I get the same error message as described here: https://github.com/mopidy/mopidy/issues/1189
Maybee its from interest. See ya next days....
kingosticks
i thought that jack issue got fixed. maybe that guy was running an old version
jodal
we had another jack issue here a couple of days ago. it was because of missing membership in the audio group.
kingosticks
ook
txomon|sauron
Adamcik, will do, thanks!
BTW, the alphabet split was not liked by the stocks market...
jodal
does the stock market like anything today?
Freso
Alphabet split?
Did the US decide only to use half of its alphabet going forwards?
jodal
the http://abc.xyz thing
Freso
Uh. "We did a lot of things that seemed crazy at the time. Many of those crazy things now have over a billion users, like Google Maps, YouTube, [...]"
Did they buy YouTube though?
*Didn't
dz0ny
yep but was losing money, and a lot of it
aka never profitable
jodal
yes, but it was still not very obvious how to make money from it at the time. it was just a google video with way more community
Freso
Sure.
Anyway, screw the stock market(s).
Sounds like a sensible step to me.
jodal
we've money in stocks, but 10x that money in real estate, so as long as we're employed, I'm not worrying, and will continue to put some money in stocks every month
in case everything goes bananas and the only sane thing to own is farming country, money will probably not be of any value anyway, and I can't do much with farming country without quite a bit of knowledge I don't currently have ;-)
</offtopic> :-)

(Action) slowly writes critiques of broken software licenses
(Action) stockpiles soylent for the apocalypse
adamcik: what's the state of your recursive playlist parsing?
adamcik
I've done some prep work and have a questionable version somewhat working
but it's still the new util variant
so missing tests and what not
jodal
the other v1.1.x issue looks inactionable, so with that in we can release 1.1.1
adamcik
and yes the going is a bid slow for various reasons
if you have more time I can push what I have so far of course
